It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph J. DeMelfi of Freeland, Pennsylvania, born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph DeMelfi (Jerry) and Frances DeMelfi (Avillion); his son Joel DeMelfi; and his siblings, Lucille Gesner and Nicholas DeMelfi (Arlene).
He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Banja; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Banja (Lee), John Banja (Dee), Michael Banja (Beth) and Gloria Balas (Matthew).
In lieu of flowers donations in Joseph's memory to St. Mary's B.C. Church or an Animal Rescue of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
