He is survived by: his parent Karen Kaschak (Koenig); and his stepfather Jimmy "Fluffy" Kaschak. He is also survived by Aunts, uncles, and cousins.

David was the National Ambassador for the Tall Cedars Foundation in 2003 and for Muscular Dystrophy Association throughout the years.
