It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul E. Karlen of Fredonia, Pennsylvania, born in Alliance, Ohio, who passed away on June 1, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernst Karlen and Mary Frances Karlen (McCauley); his wife Doris F. Karlen (Frazier); his daughter Sandra L. Karlen; and his brothers, Robert and Jackie Nagel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie L. Carfangia (Roger) of Slippery Rock, Nancy Karlen of Atlanta, GA and Linda Karlen of Erie; and his grandchildren, Marty Gbur (Kay) of Milan, IN, Dr. Stephen Carfangia (Megan) of Brookville, PA and Lauren Robinson (Mitchell) of Grove City. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
