He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Shipton and Ellen Plummer Shipton; his wife Charlene M. Witt; his stepfather Amos Walton; his daughters, Beth Albaugh and Ginger Oskin; his grandson John Sernik; and his siblings, Paul Shipton (Bud), Robert Shipton, David Shipton, Clara Mae Snyder and Sandy Fry.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Shipton (Michelle), Charles Shipton (Diana) and Brenda Irwin (Scott); and his son-in-law James Albaugh. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
