He is survived by: his wife Grace E. Schafer (Showalter); his sons, David Schafer (Lexi) of Westminster, MD., Brian Schafer of Allentown, PA. and Neil Schafer (Janet) of Collegeville, PA.; and his grandchildren, Creason Schafer, Chamberlyn Schafer and Matthew Schafer.
