He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Gierlach and Leocadia "Lucy" Gierlach (Frak); his wife Edna Gierlach (Hartle); his son Paul Jr. (Contracting); and his grandchildren, Brian Shefchunas (Juanet), Christie Lambert (Jared), Jonathan Slocum, Jason Gierlach (Missy), Marie Feather, Steve Feather (Amanda), Rebecca Schwab (David), Lee Shorts (Rebekah), Cara Lockhart, Michael Gierlach, Cody Roxberry (Michelle), Colton Turnipseed and Brittney Turnipseed. He was also cherished by three sisters.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. (312 W Park St, Franklin, PA 16323). A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Church (949 Liberty St, Franklin, PA 16323).
