He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Sterner and Ellen Reed Sterner; and his sister Barbara Sterner. He is survived by: his children, Stacy Sterner, John Sterner, Eric Sterner, Elizabeth Sterner and Nicolas Sterner; and his sisters, Lois Uhl, Jane Sandieson, Christine Nash and Susan Harrison. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
