He was predeceased by: his wife Esther E. Detweiler (Ziegler); his parents, Howard A. Detweiler and Lizzie L. Detweiler (Freed); and his siblings, Vernon, Irene, Willis and Paul.
He is survived by: his children, H. Bruce Detweiler (Liz) of Lansdale, PA and Colleen Ruth (Terry) of Souderton, PA.; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Jennifer and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Brooke, Sidney, Kayla, Jessa, Anna, Carter and Nora; and his friend Sylvia Wireman.
