It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald J. Matthews (Frackville, Pennsylvania), born in Gilberton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 6, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Matthews and Ruth Matthews (Evans); and his siblings, Jack, Jane Slvers, Ruth Bodenhammer and Melva Lane.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Matthews (Lubold); his sons, Mark Matthews of Frackville and John Matthews (Tracy) of Minersville; his sister Romona Cox of Dorchester, MA; his grandson Sean Flail; and his great grandchild Cayden Flail.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gilberton United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Main Street Gilberton PA. .
