With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Irene S. Plaxa of Frackville, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew Plaxa; her parents, Andrew Saloma and Mary Saloma (Glowa); and her siblings, John, Steve, Wassil, Nicholas, Theodore "Frank" Saloma, Mary Pelesky, Anna Kaliher, Eva Sabol, Theresa Dutchak, Catherine and Julia.
She is survived by: her sister Helen Penkal of Easton, PA.
Viewing was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church (621 W Mahanoy St, Mahanoy City, PA 17948).
