It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Salata of Frackville, Pennsylvania, born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Johns and Phoebe Johns (Clocker); her husband John Salata; and her siblings, Luther Johns, Thelma Gerber, Elizabeth Haverty, Lillian Fleagle and Marion Demko.

She is survived by: her sons, John M. Salata (Clair), Martin A. Salata (Debbie Chaklos) of St. Clair, Scott M. Salata (Dorothy Hartnett) of Pottsville and Glenn D. Salata (Terri) of Pottsville; her grandchildren, Joshua, Jon, Allie, Rachael, Marty and Mathew Salata; her great grandchildren, Jude and Jonah; and her sister Jaqueline Berdanier of Port Carbon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
