Matern Jr. of Frackville, Pennsylvania, born in Paterson, New Jersey, who passed away on October 23, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Sr. Matern and Helen Devaney Matern; his wife Adele M. Nahas Matern; and his daughter Carol A. Andrews. He is survived by: his children, Maureen McNelis (Thomas), Charles Matern and Todd Matern (Eileen); his daughter-in-law Barbara Matern; his grandchildren, Jessie Matern, Joshua Matern, Jacquelyn Conapinski, John Matern, Allie Andrews, T. J. Matern and Molly McNelis; his great grandchildren, Paige Matern, Kolton, Kirsten Conapinski, Christian Smith, Matthew and Destiny Matern; and his siblings-in-law, Helene Nahas, Rose Matthews, Bernadette Nahas and Robert Nahas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.
