He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Compinski and Eleanor Krajewski Compinski; and his brothers, Charles, Ronald and Paul Compinski.

He is survived by: his siblings, Diane Brobst (Russell), Leonard (Susan) and Joseph (Denise); and his daughter Valarie Black. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
