Karen Jean Licata Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Jean Licata (Forty Fort, Pennsylvania), born in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rinko and Irene Saxon Rinko. She is survived by: her husband Frank; her daughters, Dr. Kerri Mashburn (Jason), Amy Licata and Kylie Smeltz (Matt); her grandsons, Ben Mashburn, Tanner Smeltz and Bronson Smeltz; and her pet Jase. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, extended family, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home (1442 Wyoming Ave, Forty Fort, PA 18704). A Mass was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Our Lady Help of Christians Church (3529 St Marys Rd, Wapwallopen, PA 18660). A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at the Mount Olivet R. C. Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Karen's memory to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 and/or to Penn State's Four Diamonds, PO Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033.
