He was predeceased by: his mother Doretta Schalles; his wife Mary Elizabeth 'Betty'; his children, John William and Mary Elizabeth; and his siblings, Rodney and Clara Mae.
He is survived by: his father Frank Schalles; his daughter Amy Louise Gyory of Forty Fort; his son-in-law John F. Gyory of Exeter; his son Mark Charles (Laura) of Montville; his grandson Michael J; his great grandchild Miles John Gyory of Dallas; his siblings, Joyce Trentholm of Nescopeck, Mary Ann Schalles of Danville, Madelyn Williams of Signal Mountain, Ethel Balliet of Bloomsburg, Robert (Consetta) of Bethlehem and Craig of Orangeville; and his sister-in-law Vera Jane Schalles of Bloomsburg.
Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park in Dallas, with full Military Honors.In lieu of flowers and donations, John would ask that you continue to perform acts of kindness.
