He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Johns and Julia Johns (Harmon); his sister Helen Hege (Johns); and his half-brothers, Ralph and Roy Harmon.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jacob Johns of Greencastle, PA, Merle Johns of Chambersburg, PA, Harold Johns of St. Thomas, PA, Stoner of St. Thomas, PA and Leslie Johns of Fort Littleton, PA.
