It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn M. Higley of Forksville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evelyn M. Higley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank McCarty and Jessie McCarty (Day); her husband Fred C. Bennett; her former husband Laurence Higley; and her siblings, Richard McCarty, Francis McCarty, Edward McCarty and Doris Stephens.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Bennett (Mary Jane) of Albion, Joan Kilmer of Dushore and Carl Bennett (Beverly) of Montoursville; her stepchildren, Karen King of Forksville, Anita Chase (James) of Dushore and Arlan Higley of Canton; and her sister Joanne Menard of Johnson City, N. Y.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
