He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert M. Bown and Beulah Bown (McCarty); and his brother Donald Bown. He is survived by: his wife Sandra E. Heess; his sons, Brent Bown (Jennifer) of Forksville and Stephen Bown (Alissa) of Forksville; his siblings, Irene Harvey of Forksville and Darrell Bown (Jeanette) of Troy; his grandchildren, Ryan Bown, Cody Bown, Kyle McEwan (Kelsey), Ian McEwan, Bryce Sakers, Kimberlee Bown and Korey Bown; his great grandchildren, Duncan McEwan and Dorissa McEwan; and his sister-in-law Alice Bown. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to Lincoln Falls Wesleyan Church.
