She was predeceased by: her parents, Demetri Hatzidemetriou and Anastasia Hatzidemetriou (Ntandi); and her husband Gust Balakas. She is survived by: her children, William Balaskas (Corinne) and Anastasia Balaskas Herda; her brothers, Athanasi Hatzidemetriou and Kostas Hatzidemetriou; and her grandchildren, Connor, Morgan and Ethan.
