He was predeceased by: his parents, Lincoln Heckman and Viola Heckman (Burmeister). He is survived by: his children, Ben Heckman, II (Jonathan Needham), Stephanie Kohler (James, Jr.) and Abigail Toolan (Shane, Jr.); and his grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Caleb, Gavin Heckman, Elise Berube (Benjamin), Lukas Kohler, Shannon and Shane Toolan. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
