She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Klingensmith and Violet Klingensmith (Mulligan); her husband Gerald P. "Bus" Carpen; her daughter Donna Carpen; and her siblings, Clara Wolfe, Keith and Richard Klingensmith.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Carboney (Ernesto) of Silver Springs, MD and Thomas Peter Carpen (Linda) of Middletown; her grandchildren, Robert Carpen (Kathryn) and Heather Carpen; her great grandchildren, Siannah Sewell and Emma Carpen; her sister Margaret "Peggy" Zazula; and her sisters-in-law, Joan Davis and Margaret "Tootie" Carpen.
