He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Scopel and Miranda Scopel; his brothers, Emilio, Ennio and Walter; and his son-in-law Brad Bauer.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Martinez Scopel; and his children, Lisa Bauer, Michael Scopel, Annette Johnston (Bobby), Babette Ronk (Rick), Darren Scopel (Melinda) and Michelle Dobransky (Stephen).
