She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Shott; her parents, Thomas Barnabei and Lucy Barnabei; and her aunt Amelia "Millie" Barnabei. She is survived by: her sibling Caesar Barnabei (Carole); her nieces and nephews, Carole Anne Mela (Anthony, Sr.) and Courtney Arters (Michael); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Anthony Mela, Jr. (Apryl), Chynna Mela, Santino Mela and Ariella Arters; and also Scarlett Mela.
Family request memorial donations be made in Celeste's name to the Stephen Stiller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
