He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gaul and Marguerite Gaul (English). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Gaul (Daley); his children, Frank, Thomas, Theresa Trench (Richard) and Elizabeth Gaul; and his grandchildren, Chelsea Zubrzycki, Connor Gaul, Danielle Trench, Taylor Trench and Lauren Trench. He is also survived by three great grand children.
