He is survived by: his father Rodger Dean Helsel, Sr. (Lori) of Imler; his close friend Kristi McElheny of Flinton; his daughter Cassidi Helsel (Gary Shope II) of Cresson; his siblings, Joseph Helsel, Sr., Jackie Helsel of Imler, Ciera Hart of Roaring Spring and Amorette Miller of Bedford, Special; and his uncle Charlie Helsel (Daniel Kreigline) of Hollidaysburg.
