Joan Ruth Gearhart Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2020, at the age of 88, Joan Ruth Gearhart of Flinton, Pennsylvania, born in Hagerstown, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Funkhouser and Ruth H. Funkhouser; her son Robert D. Gearhart; her brother George R; and her granddaughter Wendi Lyn Gearhart.
She is survived by: her husband Robert P. Gearhart; her daughter Anita R. Bussard; her children-in-law, John of Hagerstown and Jamie Gearhart of Smithsburg, MD; her grandson Lt. Colonel Joshua J. Smith (Candice) of North Carolina; and her great grandchildren, Joshua J. Smith II, Jonah J. Smith and Magdalene M. Smith of North Carolina.
