She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Merkel and Pauline Merkel (Slody); her husband Earl K. Hinkle; her son Troy A. Hinkle; her grandson Ian Hinkle; and her brother Thomas Merkel.
She is survived by: her sons, Thomas A. Hinkle (Deborah) and Terry A. Hinkle (Terry A.); her daughter-in-law Christine Hinkle (late Troy A. Hinkle); her grandchildren, Drew (Samnang), Justin (Kim), Laura (Mahdi), Andrea, Matt, Ryan (Sara) and Tyler (Anjuli); and her great grandchildren, Aiyana, Devin, Levi, Emma, Faith, Xavier, Alaric, Dylan and Sadie.
