He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Burkert and Katie L. Burkert (Fegely); his wife MaryJane Burkert (Shafer); and his brother Arlan R. Burkert. He is survived by: his daughters, Lori A. Pupo, Wendy J. Comer and Amy J. Burkert; his grandchildren, Brittany N. Comer, Kirsty L. Comer, Robert E. Comer, III, Kelsi L. Comer, Cadence A. Gross and Trinity A. Gross; and his great grandchildren, Landon M. Williams, Mya L. Williams and Theodore Jackson Soltes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
