He was predeceased by: his parents, Irma Waisanen (Halvari) and Alexander Waisanen; his wife Rebecca (Rowe); his pet Mitzi; his siblings, Matt, Marvin, Kenneth Waisanen, Ruth Waisanen, Sandra Kotajarvi and Marion Kaipio; and his granddaughter Becca Balash.
He is survived by: his sister Helen Waarala (Don) of Niagra, WI; his children, Tracie Osterhart (Dan) of Battle Creek, MI, Tabytha Balash (Michael) of Oley, PA, Joyce Jost (Rob) of Las Vegas, NV, Kerry Matteoli (John) of Pottstown, PA, Gary Shafor (Christina) of Pottstown, PA and Brian Waisanen (Jennifer) of Summerville, SC; his grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Michael, Matthew, Samantha, Sarah, Robbie, Johnathon, Sabrina, Alyssa, Kayla, Austin, Paige, Hailey, Sara, Justin, Braden, Kameron and Aiden; and his great grandchild JJ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
