He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry and Helen Mest (Romig); and his siblings, Robert, Barry Mest, Dorothy Yusko, Joyce Ruppert, Joan Olinger and Ruth Dudanowicz.
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Mest (Phillips); his children, Charles A. Mest Jr. (Carol), Joseph H. Mest (Debbie), Charlene Sulzer (Edward), John Mest (Darlene) and Cheree Rothenberger (Jacob); his stepdaughters, Michelle Weller, Renee MacDonald and Rhonda Kline; and his brothers, Gary and David Mest.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles' memory to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508.
