She was predeceased by : her parents, Ida M. Goins of Washington and William D. Goins; her husband Rev. Charles C. Kirkland; her siblings, William, Robert, Rev. James, Leonard, John Goins, Ida Stein, Marcella Townsend and Evelyn Goins; and her grandson Dwight C. Law II.
She is survived by : her children, Minister Linda Kirkland-Law of Pittsburgh, Charles L. Kirkland of Pittsburgh, Carol V. Poindexter of Pittsburgh, Donna M. Kirkland of Pittsburgh and Christine "Cookie" Kirkland of San Diego; her grandchildren, Nicole of Charles, III, Andrew, Dale, Casey and Kelsey; and her great grandchild Aynsa. She is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
