It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony Shorto (Ferndale, Pennsylvania), born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 2, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Shorto and Mary Shorto (Yasika). He is survived by: his wife Rita Shorto (Filia); his children, Russell Shorto (Pamela Twigg), Gina Dominique Hersey (Baird), Scott Shorto and Eva Trout (Scott); his grandchildren, Jessica Mann, Noah Shorto, Nathan Shorto, Jonah Trout, Sophia Trout, Anna Shorto, Eva Shorto and Anthony Shorto; his stepgrandchildren, Reinier, Hector, Benjamin Koch, Eric, Joncarl and Katina Hersey; his siblings, Anna Marie "Sis" Bortoli (John) and Joseph Shorto (Marilyn); his siblings-in-law, Josie Otto, Jean Curtis and Pat Filia; and his grandson Nicco. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward Covenant Waters, which drills water for developing nations.
