He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry A. Swartzlander, Sr. and Lela Swartzlander (Sutton); his former wife Elizabeth Fennell; his wife Belva Codding; his siblings, Dale, Dick, Harry Swartzlander and Mary Louise Wilmer; and his son-in-law Michael Crytser.
He is survived by: his children, Michael W. Swartzlander (Beverly), Elaine S. Swartzlander and Matthew Swartzlander; his stepson Donnie Codding (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Emily, Gretchen, Andrew, Meredith, Josh, Heather, Clinton, Stefan, Preston, Jill and Brian. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
