He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Janukites and Sarah Elder (Spiker); and his wife Janet Ethel Janukites (Hotz). He is survived by: his daughter Kim Baptiste (Russ) of Butler; his grandchildren, Sam, Jr. Barnes (Stephanie) of Fenelton and Jessica Barnes of Michigan; his daughter Julie Compton (Johnny) of Fenelton; his grandchildren, Adam Compton (Tiffany) of West Sunbury, Ian Compton (Laurel) of Butler and Natalie Crissman (Keith) of Butler; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Guadalupe, Westly, Makayla, Adley and Lily; and his great great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Aydrian and Rain. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Joseph's honor to the Worthington Lions Club or the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Worthington.
