He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Creese and Eva Dambach Creese; his daughter Diane R. Creese; and his siblings, Kenneth Creese, Betty Schuller and Mae Stepp.

He is survived by: his son John R. Creese Jr.; his wife Janisse Creese of Rimersburg; his grandson Dalton J. Creese of Springhill; his sisters, Joan Bickish of Butler, Evelyn Kline of Butler and Alayne McCanch Cresse; and also Donald R. Creese of Kila. He is also survived by seven step-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren.
