He was predeceased by: his parents, George Duncan and Blanche Duncan (Gaiser); his former wife Sherry Lynne Duncan (Lucas); and his siblings, Leona Perry, Ruth Duncan and Ray Duncan.

He is survived by: his wife Beverly McWilliams (Groves); his sons, John Duncan, Jr. (Lori) of Butler and Eric Duncan of Knox; his siblings, Blanche Ruby of Butler, Alice Shuba (Ron) of Butler, Dave Duncan (Mabel) of Butler, Ted Duncan of Butler and Gary Duncan (Valerie) of Butler; his stepchildren, Mindy McWilliams (Jay) of New Kensington and Mike McWilliams (Jess) of New Kensington; and his grandchildren, Landon, George, Anthony and Johny. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home, Ltd. (127 W Jefferson St, Butler, PA 16003). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
