He is survived by: his wife Lola Benefiel; his sisters, Shirley McCarthy and Sharon Benefiel; his children, Jodi Hamel (Phil) of Saranac and Jesse Richard Benefiel III (Kathleen) of York; his grandsons, Zachary Hamel and Jeremiah Hamel (Schayna); his stepchildren, Athena Kostarelos (Billy), Themi Sacarellos (Janel) and Chris Sacarellos (Vanessa); and his stepgrandchildren, Okles, Mackie, Leo, Poppi, Sevi, Arabella, Melina, Sofia, Ari and Alexi.
