He was predeceased by: his father Charles Joseph Whalen, Sr.; and his siblings, Charles Joseph Whalen, Jr., Timothy Whalen and Bernadette Whalen. He is survived by: his wife Constance "Connie" (Byrd); his children, Kara Lee Hand, Michael Casey Whalen, Kyle Murphy Whalen (Emily), Sian Smith (Brian), Rodger Michael Whalen, Jr. (Deborah), Megan Patricia Whalen, Danielle Marie Harper and Kate Alexandra Whalen; and his grandchildren, Sophia Smith, Alexa Smith, Madelynn Smith, Scarlett Leporace, Elena Whalen, Aiden Whalen, Collin Whalen, Abbey Hand, Georgia Hand, Reagan Lee Hand, Charlotte Hand, Asher Hand, Jason Hand, Teagan Harper and Rodger Michael Whalen, III. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
