He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Burner, Sr. and Rosalie Burner Hess (Shatzer); his brother Lee E. "Bud" Burner; and his stepbrother John F. S. Hess. He is survived by: his wife Catherine T. Burner (Foster); his sons, William S. Burner, Jr. of Mont Alto and Brian Burner of Fayetteville, PA; his grandson Caleb Burner; and his sister Barbara A. Harbaugh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
