He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Portner and Mildred Portner; and his niece Tiffany Dockweiler. He is survived by: his wife Pauline "Polly" Portner (Lehman); his sister Donna Dockweiler; his nieces, Renee Welsh of Waynesboro, Opal of Waynesboro and Amber Dockweiler of Waynesboro; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Chamberlin (Jeff) of Shippensburg, Lorrie Smedley (Dick) of Fayettville and Loretta Tharp of Fayetteville. He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.
