He was predeceased by: his parents, Numa Purgason and Vonnie Purgason; and his brothers, Herbert and James Purgason. He is survived by: his wife Johanna E. "Joanie" Purgason; his nephews, James Purgason, Jr. and Patrick Purgason; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Nyswaner, Billie Jean Wishart, William and Theodore Giovanelli.
