He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Patten, Sr. and Germaine Patten (Shears). He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Patten (Jedlika); his children, Michael Patten (Jeanne) of Hillsborough, NJ, Gregory Patten (Roberta L. Wilson), Catherine Ditzler (Kenneth) of Chambersburg, PA and Timothy Patten of Washington, D. C.; and his grandchildren, Rachael Ditzler, Jennifer Patten, Ian Patten, Brent Ditzler and Brianne Patten.
