He was predeceased by: his daughter Donna Ann Edge; his parents, Earny Edge and Coman Edge; and his siblings, Cothran Edge, Thomas Edge and Catherine Melvin.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Cain Edge; his daughter Wendi Edge Melvin (James) of Fayetteville; his grandson Cain McKinley Melvin; his siblings, Edgar Edge (Myrtle) of Fayetteville, Sarah Edge West (Ted) of Live Oak, Laverne Edge Hall of Fayetteville and Dottie Edge Britt of Fayetteville; and his brother-in-law Harold Cain (Lynn) of Lake Waccamaw.
