He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh C. Lipsius and Estelle Lipsius (Kelley); and his siblings, Jane Lipsius-Driver, Michael, Kelley, Klint Lipsius and Lee Cornell.
He is survived by: his wife Christel Kim Lipsius (Borofsky); his son Eric Lipsius (Amy) of Finksburg, MD; his grandchildren, Ashley, Mason and Emmeline; his siblings, Hugh "Kerry" Lipsius, Cynthia Lipsius Gembola, Sally Kilgore, Peter Lipsius and Caroline Cornell Holland; and his friend David. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
