He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Bell Swigart and John Workman Swigart; and his siblings, Nancy Shedd (Swigart) and John Workman Swigart, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Swigart (Hamburg); his children, Carrie Ruth Swigart (Dieter Lindskog) of Woodbridge, CT, Jennifer (Swigart) and John Christian Swigart (Delia P. Swigart) of McLean, VA; and his grandchildren, Charlotte G. Lindskog, Emma J. Lindskog, Wesley R. Newman, Shelby J. Newman, Isabella P. Swigart, Evelina P. Swigart and Luke P. Swigart.
