With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Louise Yates of Fayette City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 10, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sevester Moats and Mary Hutchinson Moats; her brothers, Melvin Moats, Paul (Virginia Moats) and James Moats; and her brothers-in-law, Philip Karcesky and Thomas Matty.
She is survived by: her husband Benjamin Eugene Yates; her children, Holly Buchanan and Benjamin; her daughter-in-law JoAnn Yates of Star Junction; her grandchildren, Joshua Yates (Amber), Summer Epps (Daniel) and Gurney Buchanan (Hannah); her sisters, Mary Karcesky of Perryopolis and Virginia Matty of Perryopolis; and her sister-in-law Donna Moats of Belle Vernon.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (700 Broad Ave, Belle Vernon, PA 15012). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
