He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Ada Leona Fields Yates; and his wife Thelma Louise Moats Yates. He is survived by: his children, Holly Buchanan and Benjamin; his daughter-in-law JoAnn Yates of Star Junction; and his grandchildren, Joshua Yates (Amber), Summer Epps (Daniel) and Gurney Buchanan (Hannah).
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (700 Broad Ave, Belle Vernon, PA 15012). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Fayette City Alliance Church or Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC.
