He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank A Cassin Sr. and Virginia Brashear Cassin; his brothers, Frank A. Cassin Jr. and John Katalinas; and his son-in-law Brandon Rands.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Cassin (Christina) of Newell and Artilee Rands of Charleroi; his grandsons, Michael Cassin, Jr. and Frank Cassin; his sister Susan Livingstone (James) of Newell; his close friend Linda Lynch; and also Amanda Lynch.
