He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Pittman and Dorothy Gillespie (Morrow); his stepfather Robert Gillespie; and his siblings, Wilma "Dolly" Wagner, Helen Pittman and Grant "Buck" Pittman.
He is survived by: his significant other JoAnn Pittman (Boris); his children, Richard Pittman, Jr. (Carol), David Pittman (Christy) and Cheryl McElheny (Christian); his grandchildren, Danetta Corrado (Christopher), David Pittman (Alex), Rachel Pittman and Grant Pittman; his stepgrandchildren, Heather Kuzmirek (John), Gary Watterson (Kerry) and Jamie Schramm (Jason); his grandchildren, Kayden, Kamrynn and Damien Pittman; his brother Wayne Pittman (Debbie); and his brothers-in-law, John Boris and Paul Boris (Elaine). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
