She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, LaShana Myles, Albert James Taylor Myles III, Sierra Whitney, Jolice Whitney, Jasmine Whitney and Justine Whitney; her brothers, Samuel Overton Jr. (Mittie), Mark Overton, Timothy Overton Sr. (Carolyn), Kenneth Overton (Sandra) and Chris Overton; her close friend Daniel Floyd; her sisters, Maudessia Patterson and Diane Armour; her aunts, Eloise Myles and Shirley (George); her parents, Mattie Overton and Samuel Overton; her sister Armenta Colyar; and her grandchildren-in-law, Whitney and Damon L. Irby Jr..
Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
